Erik Rivas, M.Sc., honoured with 2nd best poster award at the 2026 Taiwan International Symposium on Land Subsidence

Erik Rivas, M.Sc., a PhD candidate at the Institute of Photogrammetry and GeoInformation (IPI), Leibniz University Hannover, was recognised with the award for the 2nd best poster entitled “Decoupling basin scale land subsidence signals from shallow and deep aquifers based on InSAR and component decomposition methods”, presented at the 2026 Taiwan International Symposium on Land Subsidence, held in Taipei, Taiwan from April 13 to 17, 2026. Erik is employed in a joint project between the National Taiwan University and LUH, funded by DFG and entitled “The Groundwater Budget and Subsidence Risk in the Taipei Basin, Taiwan, from Remote Sensing and Numerical Modelling“.
