Upon request, the Institute for Photogrammetry and GeoInformation (IPI) of the Leibniz University Hannover has provided the city of Hameln with a set of over 800 glass plate negatives from its own archive. The images show various architectural monuments of the old town of Hameln, which the institute created as part of a larger project about 50 years ago. In the meantime, the images are available in scanned form for the work of Hameln's monument protection and city history, as the city historian Dr. Gesa Snell was pleased to report recently.
