On July 8, 2017, Prof. Gottfried Konecny received the „Making a Difference Award“ sponsored by ESRI, Redlands, CA, during the ESRI Imaging and Mapping Forums in San Diego for his life-long activities in photogrammetry, remote sensing and GIS from Lawrie Jordan, Director of Imaging of ESRI and former founder of ERDAS.
