On October 14, 2023, the IAA - International Academy of Astronautics, Paris, presented the IAA Engineering Sciences Book Award to the book "High resolution optical satellite imagery, 2nd ed.", published by Whittlers Publishing in 2022. The authors of the book are Ian Dowman (UCL), Karsten Jacoben and Gottfried Konecny (both IPI) and Rainer Sandau (DLR).
