Opening for professorship in radar remote sensing and active systems at IPI

The Institute of Institute of Photogrammetry and GeoInformation invites applications for a
University Professorship (W 2) in Radar Remote Sensing and Active Systems
to be appointed on January 1, 2010.

The professorship covers theory and practice of research and teaching in the fields of airborne and space borne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Lidar Systems with emphasize on the development of mathematical and physical models as well as data analysis. The successful candidate has a proven record of relevant international scientific experience in these fields. He is expected to acquire third-party funds and to initiate, lead and supervise a research group.
The general tasks, responsibilities and appointment requirements are specified in the Higher Education Act of Lower Saxony (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz – NHG). Details will be explained on request.
An option of part-time employment is possible.
