DGPF Award for Prof. Viktoriia Hnatushenko

Prof. Viktoriia Hnatushenko has received the Remote Sensing Award of the German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation (DGPF) and the Nico Rüpke Foundation. The scientist from the Ukrainian University of Science and Technology, Dnipro, is currently conducting research at the Institute of Photogrammetry and GeoInformation at Leibniz Universität Hannover.

The award was given for her paper "Detection of Forest Fire Consequences on Satellite Images using a Neural Network", which Viktoriia Hnatushenko presented at the 43rd Annual Scientific and Technical Meeting of the DGPF in Munich in March 2023.  The prize is awarded for the best contribution to the annual conference in the field of remote sensing. It is published in the Proceedings of the DGPF.

Prof. Viktoriia Hnatushenko is currently a fellow of the Philipp Schwartz Initiative, a programme of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
